Thank you for taking time to visit my website. I am excited to have you look around, and to ask me any questions you may have using the “Contact” link in the drop down menu on the side of this page.

My name is Keith Smith and I am running for State Representative in the 32nd district. The district contains parts of Lynnwood, Brier, Shoreline, Mountlake Terrace, and a corner of Seattle. I have lived in Washington my entire life. I was born in Seattle and spent the first 11 years of my life living there. My mom was a single mother how worked very hard to ensure that I always had food on the table and clothes on my back. Unfortunately, when I was 11, she was unable to keep up with the rent payments and we were evicted from our home. Luckily we had family in the area who gave us a place to stay while she saved to be able to put a deposit on an apartment. We then were able to move to the Kent area where we lived for two more years. At that point she was again unable to make the rent payments and we found ourselves scrambling for somewhere to live. Thankfully, she had met my now step-father by that point and he welcome us into his home in Brier. I have lived in this area ever since.

I worked full time starting at 16, and I was able to move out of my parent’s house when I was 18. I saved for a few more years, and then paid my way through Community College, receiving an Associates of Arts degree from Shoreline Community College in 2008. After a few more years of work and saving, I enrolled in Central Washington University-Lynnwood, and received my Bachelors of Science in 2015 graduating Summa Cum Laude. That made me the first college graduate in my family.

The hard work and dedication that I learned, and relied on to get my degree is what I will bring to Olympia when I represent all of you in this district. Again, I thank you for taking the time to visit my website, and I hope to receive your support in the upcoming election.
